  2. Being filled with peace and hope, well, that's really hard sometimes. We can't do it all alone, that's the thing. So I hope you sink your heart into Erica's words and do this with her. That's what we're made to do-to love and lean on each other, to be honest, and then to wait for the light that always comes.

  14. Dear Erica's Grandpa

Erica is in my twitter network. She is always positive and has a great sense of self and great insights. Not only is this a great reflection on you....your are a great reflection on her. Your teachings and love for her has made her strong and wise. And we all want to help her give back and lend you our collective strength. Just like Erica isn't alone and has this great posse that has her back. We are all now your posse and we all have your back. Tomorrow the sun will shine and tomorrow the love for you will rise with the sun...every morning...every day.

  18. PS
Sometimes we are just tired and that's understandable but since we are all connected then it stands to reason that when one of the family is tired the others gather the strength, hope, love and happiness to counterattack all the hopelessness, painful, sad and tired feelings you may be having. Lean on them and take their advice. Even the young one's with not anywhere near the life experience you have ALSO can teach us a lesson or two this late in our lives. Isn't learning those lessons at this exact time make those lessons oh so much more important and powerful? You have the power to heal it all. When I was 15 years old I healed myself of stomach cancer. No treatments. I just decided now was not the time to leave those I loved and so I set that scenario aside and looked at how I could be the very best version of myself. I survived because I had life yet left to live. So many believe you do also.
So make the decision and just do..... and just be...... well. Only take good news from doctors. Surround yourself with love, hope and optimism.
Those three things always pay off. Always, every time.

  20. ps: to myself,
    you are stronger than this.
you are greater than the person that you've been lately. you are stronger than the girl who breaks down watching grey's anatomy, and pretends she doesn't know what's wrong.
you are stronger than the selfish person you have been.
you are a strong, beautiful, independent person, and you can be great. you are great. so be yourself. love yourself.
    you are stronger than this.

  21. ps: to my grandfather,
you left so soon, and i didn't have time to say goodbye.
they say you left peacefully, that it was just one deep breath in, and you were gone.
but i want you to know that i still love you, just as much as when you were alive, that i will always care for you. you are, and will always be a great part of my life. i wish you well.

  22. p.s. Grandpa Bob

It can be daunting to face major health problems. I can tell you from working as a nurse that half the battle is having good people around to support you. Erica is good people ... she'll help you be positive and look towards the future.

Rest when you can, fight when you need to, but don't give up. It sounds like there are a lot of people out there who want and need you to get better!

    All the best,

  23. P.S. Hi Bob. We don't know each other, but, I guess having a granddaughter like Erica makes you alright in my book. Just know that there is a normal guy with a wife and two kids sitting in Brainerd, MN thinking about you.

  25. ps.

    Good morning/afternoon/evening, Bob! :^)

I hope this post finds you feeling better. I was raised in Kansas by my loving grandparents, and I truly appreciate Erica's thoughtful gesture to send warm wishes your way. It is obvious that you mean the world to her.

No one should have to be alone when they're not feeling well, and if I could, I would be glad to come sit with you and tell you some wonderful stories.

If you get bored or lonely, please remember that there are people thinking good and happy thoughts for you. Wishing you peace.

    Big hug!!!
